Lifestyle Change!?!?!?

It has really been forever since I have blogged.

Life has been unbelievably crazy lately!!!
With all the stress and worry I have been lugging around I noticed that I DONT SLEEP anymore, how could something so natural be so foreign? I noticed that when I eat bad I feel bad!!! For many of you this may be a concept you have already figured out, for me I am coming to term with it. As a natural born food lover it's hard to come to conclusions about things that just aren't healthy. Take wheat for example, I am allergic to wheat, I swell, I get all blochy, I turn red and CAN'T breath, yet I still choose to eat it. Weird? Crazy? Yeah I know...

Since the beginning of the year I have been flirting with eating healthy, weight loss and a lifestyle change. I will not call this a diet; diets are temporary. I will call this a lifestyle change. A diet is a temporary fix to a lifelong problem.

Last night while at my mother-in-laws house we were talking about losing weight and getting healthy. In the future Branden and I hope to have children. I want to be in tip top shape for a little one and Branden's Mom does too. I see Mom's today that are over weight and I know it affects the children. I want to be able to chase my child around until they are worn out, not me chase my child around till I pass out.

The Challenge started Friday night with our first trip to the grocery store to buy healthy foods. I generally buy some healthy food every week but I also buy bunches of junk; cookies, cakes, candies, chips and more. That food is just not acceptable for weight loss and a life change. Saturday morning we weighted in and needless to say I was not happy! I am planning to blog about the changes I am seeing along with new pictures on a weekly basis. Our weigh in days will be Saturday so, I should have the nitty gritty out with in a day or so.

I can honestly say that I am excited!!! I am excited to quit eating foods that are just plan disgusting and start eating healthy. Ladies and Gentlemen mark you calendars and check back in.
